Our Instructors

Our instructors are industry professionals that respond to medical emergencies every day. First Five instructors have over 20 years experience in Emergency Medical Services.

All of our instructors were EMT-B students at one time or another and have all sat where you are sitting. We are dedicated to your success by providing patient assessment skills and the needed lessons too successfully pass National/State Licensing Exams.

Chris Hansen Director of Training/Lead Instructor:

Chris Hansen is currently employed as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Chicago Fire Department. The City responds to over 700,000 emergency calls a year. He has been licensed as a Paramedic in Illinois since 1996. Emergency Medical Technician since 1994.

Instructor Hansen has taught Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) in an adult learning environment for 5 years prior to First Five. He is a EMS Lead Instructor licensed with Illinois Department of Public Health and an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor.


Chris Jaglinski Lead Instructor:

Chris Jaglinski is currently employed as a Paramedic with Chicago Fire Department. The City responds to over 700,000 emergency calls a year. He has been licensed as a Paramedic in Illinois since 2010. Emergency Medical Technician since 2007.

Instructor Jaglinski has taught Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) in an adult learning environment for 3 years prior to First Five. He is a EMS Lead Instructor licensed with Illinois Department of Public Health and an American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Instructor.
